I have recently been accepted into a wonderful program called Youthlinc. Youthlinc is a Utah based, non-profit organization that organizes local and international service opportunities for young adults. With youthlinc I will have the opportunity to visit a small village in Thailand next summer. There I will have many wonderful opportunities to serve that community and learn from everyone who lives there.
The majority of my trip will be spent in this village. These days will be spent doing many things including, construction, community health fairs, cultural exchanges, educational lessons, business development seminars, and vocational training. Last year the June Thailand Team did many things. Together they were able to renovate and paint the school's bathrooms, build tables for the school canteen, lay tile for the school stage, and renovate the school playground. I cannot wait to be able to do so many wonderful things like that, that can have an impact on myself and the people of Thailand forever!
In order to travel to Thailand I will need to spend 50 hours serving my community. 30 of those hours will have to be at a main service site that I have yet to choose. We are asked to choose a main service sight to build lasting connections with our community rather than a one and done service. This is all very new to me so I am still deciding between all the many service opportunities there are! I will also attend a monthly meeting where I will help plan the team’s trip.
In order to go on this trip I need to raise $3,600 to cover the cost. I am committed to making a difference locally and internationally, and would very much appreciate your support. Youthlinc’s mission is to create lifelong humanitarians through emphasizing student leadership and quality mentorship. I’ve always wanted to do something big to change the world, and I feel like this is my opportunity! But I cannot do that without your help. I promise your donation will go a long way in helping aid the people of Thailand and in my goal of becoming a lifelong humanitarian.
If you have any questions or would like to hear about my journey as I fundraise, gain service hours, receive positions on the Thailand team and more please contact me at (801) 960-6917.
Thank you so much for your support, with love,
Adreana Hall

Youthlinc is a Utah non-profit organization dedicated to creating lifetime humanitarians through local and international service. Service Year students contribute 80 hours of local service before their international service trip. In monthly meetings, students - mentored by adult professionals - take leadership roles in planning educational, community health, business development, vocational training and cultural exchange initiatives that are implemented in a small village outside Chang Mai, Thailand next summer.
