I’m asking all my friends to consider a donation to the capital campaign of a charity that is very close to my heart. As you know, I served as a board member for Youthlinc, a Utah based local and international service for youth for 6 years, and Lisa and I were mentors Service Year trip to Kenya in 2012.

I’ve contributed to many nonprofits but I know of no other charity that uses funds more effectively to accomplish its mission. The Youthlinc mission is to create lifetime humanitarians. They do great work in small villages in developing countries, but the real change they make is in the hearts and minds of Utah young people – and adults. Cumulatively, the kids who participate in the Service Year contribute 25,000 hours of local service each year. They become more compassionate, and their minds have been open to the need to give back. I feel that too.

Youthlinc has used donated office space for its first 18 years. It has outgrown that facility, and rent for the facility they currently occupy is high – which adds to Service Year program fees. They want to keep their local and international service programs affordable for all.

After 20 years, it is time for Youthlinc to have its own home. Check out the Capital Campaign page of their website for more information.

I’ve committed to raise $10,000 towards the capital campaign. I’ve contributed $3,000. Will you help me reach my goal? To show community support, it would be great if your name, your family’s name, was represented on a paver on the new Youthlinc campus.

A $500 donation is represented with a medium engraved paver; a larger paver for a $1000 donation.

Of course, a contribution of any amount is appreciated – large or small.  Thank you for your friendship, generosity, and support! ~ Jason

ABOUT Capital Campaign

Youthlinc has grown steadily for 20 years, widening and deepening our impact in the community. And there is so much more to do.

We've relied on donated office space till just a few years ago. With all our programs, participants, and staff we have reached a place at our 20th anniversary where we need a home of our own - a place that belongs to the thousands of Utah families and young people we've impacted, and a place dedicated to the thousands of lives we will touch in the future.

We are asking our Youthlinc family-all of our program donors, Service Year mentors, alum parents and students who have long recognized Youthlinc's role in creating lifetime humanitarians - and those who are now recognizing our impact in this state - to dig deep and partner with us in this efforts. Youthlinc is a 501c3. Your donations are tax deductible. For more info visit www.youthlinc.org/capitalcampaign
